About fused glass

"Hot" glass techniques refers to fusing and slumping which take place at temperatures between 1100 and 1600 degrees Fahrenheit (600 to 900 Celsius). Several pieces of glass are fused (glued) together to form one piece. Additionally glass could be kiln - formed. Bending and shaping is common used together with adding pigments and enameling.

All "hot glass" techniques are possible nowadays thanks to special computer controlled kilns. Strictly regulated temperature of glass is the most important thing in the process of fusing.
Modern art of fusing has evolved rapidly when glass factories started to produce special glass with tested compatibility.

Fusing of glass seems to be easy. It is not true as it needs great experience, knowledge and patience.
